Biography

The CBR Method™ (Contextual Behavioral Reading) was created by Yann Viot, a graduate of HEC Paris, who has spent nearly thirty years working on issues mainly related to behavioral transformation, leadership and managerial practices.

He has collaborated with organizations including Hermès, Société Générale, Rolex, Auchan, Accor, Nespresso, Orange, Nintendo, Sharp, Sony Pictures, among others.

He is also co-author of Petit manuel d’accélération de transformation culturelle et comportementale (Diateino, 2018), which explores practical approaches to accelerating behavioral and cultural transformation in organizations.

Across his experiences, a recurring observation emerged: although behavioral capabilities are widely recognized as critical for personal and profesional life (faster and better decisions, reduced tensions, smoother collaboration, and stronger operational performance), the methods used to develop them remain largely dependent on facilitated formats such as training, coaching, or consulting interventions.

These formats are difficult to scale, rely heavily on facilitator expertise, and often make it challenging for individuals to independently investigate the mechanisms underlying their own behaviors.

The CBR Method™, introduced in March 2026, was developed by a team of experts, in response to this challenge.

It proposes a structured protocol for autonomous behavioral investigation, allowing individuals to reconstruct the mechanisms that maintain certain behavioral patterns and difficult situations.

Rather than relying on expert interpretation, the method translates concepts drawn from psychology, coaching practice, and systems theory into a replicable analytical framework, enabling users to progressively reconstruct the internal logic of their behavioral system.
